Terms

Using the tools.

Short and plain. Updated .

Agreeing to these terms

By using freeinvoicegenerator.tools, you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site. You must be old enough to make a contract where you live, or be using it with a parent or guardian. If you use it for a business, you are agreeing for that business.

The tools are free

Use them for your own business, as often as you like. No sign-up. A small “Made with InvoiceWren” line is on every PDF made here. Pro accounts in the InvoiceWren app can turn it off; the tools here cannot.

Your documents are yours

What you type and the files you make belong to you. They stay on your device, so we do not receive them and need no licence to them. You are responsible for what is in them: the names, amounts, tax, payment details and any claims they make.

Not tax or legal advice

An invoice made here is a clear document, not a promise that it meets any country’s rules. Tax names and rates are whatever you type; we never look them up. Whether a document counts as a tax invoice, or must follow an e-invoicing system, depends on where you and your client are. Check what applies to you, or ask an accountant.

Payment details

We never take, hold or move money. The payment lines on your invoice (Zelle, bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App and others) are only text and links you provide, so check them before you send. A routing-number check tells you if the digits can be a real routing number; it does not tell you the account is yours or that it exists.

No warranty

We try to keep every calculation right, and you should check the totals before you send. The tools and templates are provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises that they are error-free, always online, or fit for a particular purpose.

Our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using the tools, including a wrong total, a missed payment, a lost saved draft, or a tax or legal problem with a document. If a court says we are liable anyway, our total liability to you is limited to US$100. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited, or liability for fraud.

What not to do

Do not use the tools to make documents that are false or meant to deceive, to pretend to be another business or person, or to collect money that is not owed. Do not copy the site’s pages or designs to pass off as your own, resell the template files as they are, or send automated traffic that slows the site for others. You may share a link to any page.

Templates and designs

The invoice designs and template files here are made for this site. You may use the documents you make from them for your business, and edit the Word, Excel and Google files freely. The designs, the wren mark and the site’s text stay ours.

Other services and links

Pages may link to other services, such as payment apps and Google Docs and Sheets. They have their own terms and privacy rules, and we do not control them.

Check your price

Sharing job facts with Check your price is optional, separate from these terms, and never needed to use the tools. What is shared, and how it is used, is on the Privacy page.

Your data

The contents of your invoice stay in your browser. Clearing your browser data clears them, so save your details to a file if you want a backup. How we count visits is on the Privacy page.

Changes and stopping

We may change or stop any tool, and change these terms. If the terms change, the new date shows at the top, and using the site after that means you accept them. You can stop using the site at any time.

The InvoiceWren app

The InvoiceWren app and its web app are a separate service with their own terms, shown where you sign up.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Maharashtra, India, can hear any dispute, except where the law of the place you live gives you the right to use your own courts.
