Your invoice's contents never leave your browser.

Who we are
Free Invoice Generator (freeinvoicegenerator.tools) is made and run by one person, Abrar, who lives in India. It is a free tool: you fill in an invoice or estimate, see it update, and download it. The same person is building InvoiceWren, an invoicing app, which has its own privacy page.
What stays on your device
Everything you type: names, addresses, amounts, notes, your logo and your payment details. It is kept in this browser (in its own storage, not in a cookie) so the next invoice is quick. The contents of your invoice are never sent to a server, and the PDF, Word and Excel files are made on your computer.
To remove it, use “Start over” in the tool, or clear this site’s data in your browser. We cannot do it for you, because we never have it.
Working offline
The site saves its own pages, scripts and fonts in your browser so the tool still opens without a connection. That copy holds the site, not your invoices, and it stays on your device.
What we count
We count visits and a few actions, so we know which pages help people. Page views are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies. Our own counter notes only these things: which page the tool was opened on, the kind of document, and, when you download, the file type, the design, the currency, how many lines it had (as a range such as “2–5”), the name of the tax if it is one of the standard ones (otherwise just “custom”) and the country setting.
That is all. No names, no amounts, no words you typed, no IP address saved by us, no user ID, and no ad profile. Each count stands alone and is not linked to you or to another visit. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we do not count your actions at all.
Our host
The site is served by Cloudflare. To deliver any web page, Cloudflare’s servers see your IP address and the page you asked for, and keep short technical logs for security and reliability. We do not use that to identify you. Cloudflare’s own privacy policy applies to what it does.
If you tick “Check your price”
After you download, you can choose to share a few facts about the job so you can see public pay data for your trade and area. What is sent: the trade and job type you pick, the first three digits of the ZIP code, the currency (US dollars only for now), the total, and the categories of your line items, such as Labor or Materials. The box is never ticked for you, and it is separate from the Terms. We never receive names, addresses, notes, bank details or the words you typed; the categories are worked out in your browser from your wording, and only the category leaves.
We store the facts with the date and the version of this page you agreed to, and nothing else: no name, no email, no IP address and no ID. Because a row carries no ID, we cannot tell which row is yours unless you tell us. To delete what you shared, use the Contact page and give the trade, area, total and date. “Stop sharing” on the result page turns the question off on that device.
The pay figures we show come from public data of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (May 2025 wages), not from what people share. We do not show what people share. If we ever do, we will first say so here, and we will show only figures built from at least 10 jobs from at least 5 different people, with the ZIP area made wider where few people live. They will be labeled as unverified, from people using this tool.
Never sold
We never sell this data and we never license it to anyone. It is never passed to advertisers, and the pages that may show ads are kept apart from it. If this ever changes, we will say so on this page before the change and will not apply it to anything collected earlier.
Ads
Only guide pages may show ads. In the EU and the UK we ask first, with a small banner that never blocks the page. The tools and templates never show ads.
Saving your details to a file
The file is made on your computer and stays there. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose to move to the InvoiceWren app and sign up there, and then the app’s privacy page applies.
When you write to us
If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and your message in our mailbox. We use them to reply and to keep a record of what was asked. We do not add you to a list and we do not share your message. Ask us to delete a message and we will.
Children
This is a tool for people who invoice clients. It is not made for children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Because your invoices never reach us, there is usually nothing to find; the exceptions are a message you sent us and anything you chose to share with Check your price (we will need the trade, area, total and date to find it). Email [email protected] and we try to reply within 48 hours. In the EU, the UK and some other places you can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Where data goes
We are in India, our host serves pages from servers around the world, and our database is in the EU, so what you send us may be handled outside your country. A message is kept only as long as it is useful for answering you. Shared job facts are kept without any name or contact detail.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the new date shows at the top.
